The tiger, which was once a very powerful animal and a king of the jungle, has been stripped off his rights of royalty and life. He is not allowed to be alive or roam in any jungle freely as his own. Due to his own assets like his nails, yes, fur coat, blood, teeth etc, he’s being poached ridiculously. Even today a very famous proverb is being chanted in different generations of East India as “here one can find even Tiger’s milk at midnight”. What is that suppose to mean?

The Royal Bengal tiger of India, National Animal by all animosities. This incongruous line clearly shows what we are doing for the tiger. In a way generating pride for ourselves by the power and royalty of the tiger and killing him for the same reason. What kind of joy do the powerful people get out of buying tiger’s original fur and teeth? What’s the sense in owning a piece of an animal killed for nothing but his tooth and hair? Such ridiculous people are still present in this world, that it surprises me beyond my apprehensions.

Many dreadful truths like these will blow your mind away. There are many stories related to the poaching of this beautiful animal. There are many instances where people believe that drinking the blood of a Tiger will provide them energy and help them in impotency. How funny? The tooth or nail of a tiger is a lucky charm, it gives courage and strength to defend oneself… guess if the tiger’s soul will come back to fetch his tooth and nail and give his energy to the man wearing it? The most non sense rituals of the South Asian countries. We South Asians, pride ourselves in our culture and traditions and the good will in all our actions. Is this what is called good will? The Tiger looks all powerful and good when alive and free in jungle. But it looks really very cruel to be hung down a wall or worn like jewelery.

People really don’t understand the course of their actions and the consequences of these. The long term effects are very adverse on the bio-diversity of a region. As a result, the whole food chain of the region as well as natural processes gets disturbed. The different NGOs for this animal as well as the government are unable to sensitize people against hunting of this wonderful animal. See this for an example, the Sariska Tiger Reserve region of Jaipur, Rajasthan (govt made it for tigers to be protected from poachers and to be breeded to break the continuous falling population); just a few years back, the whole region was cleared of tigers by the hunters. The result, the herbivore population of the region increased drastically with other animals important for natural balance losing their place. This led to fast desertification of the area with the flora decreasing and losing hold of good fertile soil. This led to a decrement in other natural assets of the region and then, what was left was advancing deserts which are absorbing more heat from sun and contributing to Global Warming.

So you see, one way or the other our actions are causing the destruction to the Green World. Amy it be pollution, or poaching of exquisite endangered animals, which form an important part any natural cycle of the flora and fauna. The Doomsday is our creation and will be executed by us itself.

Tiger Tiger Burning Bright
Those arseholes are coming with their knives
They’d mince you and rinse you at first sight
And go on leading their masochistic lives.
